And We're Off! Hurray!

As of 8:30am, this Thursday December 17th, the Giroux North Quad will be turning and skiers and snowboarders will be skiing and snowboarding at Mont Orford ski area. Finally! Old Man Winter has arrived, better late than never! The combination of the Upper Familiale, Magog, and Jean-Davignon on Mont Giroux offers nearly 2.5 kilometers of continuous skiing. Mont Orford's gondola and the infamous Trois-Ruisseaux will open on Saturday, December 19th, as well as the magic carpet Initiation area. Our snowmaking team has been producing snow almost non-stop for nearly a week now and our skiable terrain should increase rapidly in the coming days, especially if Mother Nature, Old Man Winter's best friend, helps us out. Our objective, as always, is to offer you optimal snow conditions for the upcoming holidays. Please note that Mont Orford will be open 7 days a week at 8:30am until the end of what we hope will be a very long ski season.

Ski for $5
This upcoming Friday, Saturday, and Sunday: 18th, 19th, 20th of December, Mont Orford ski area will be doing its part to spread Holiday giving. Daily lift tickets for $5 and a contribution to the Banque alimentaire Memphrémagog. All skiers and snowboarders who donate 5 non-perishable food items to Customer Service will benefit from this unbeatable price all weekend. For those unable to make a donation, don't worry, lift tickets will only be $15 for adults, $10 for students and $5 for children. These rates include taxes. The basket where donations will be received will be placed at Customer Service until the end of the Holidays.

Rail Jam Grilly Cheesy Jiby (RJGCJ)
The RJGCJ will be held this Saturday, December 19th. For the occasion, the Orford Freeriders Club is lighting up its barbecue and grilling up the best grilled cheese in Quebec. Nothing less. Come ride with friends on a handmade rail course. Riders from all over Quebec will compete for over $1200 in prizes and grilled cheese machines. Skiers and snowboarders will impress you with their incredible feats accomplished on metal bars. Unbeatable! Come participate or spectate this extraordinary competition at Mont Orford.
