Finally, the first tracks!
Wouldn't it be nice to have the mountain all to yourself? First tracks give you the chance to see what it's like. This Sunday, January 17th, the hybrid gondola and Mont Orford's trails become your private club from 7:00 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. Freshly groomed trails, or better yet, trails covered with untouched powder await you. This experience will repeat itself at the same times, every Sunday. Gold season pass holders can access this incredible offer free of charge while the mountain's other guests must pay only $19. Go ahead, treat yourself!
Information session for parents of Snow School students
The Snow School is innovating once more this year and inviting parents of children participating in the eight-week program to an information session on Saturday and Sunday. After entrusting your children to their instructors, come meet the Snow school's director, Luc Chapdelaine and his supervisor colleagues between 10:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. at the Slalom Pub. They will draw a portrait of what your children will be learning throughout their series of eight lessons. Another information session will be suggested during the seventh week of the program.
Activities for the weekend of January 16th and 17th
There will be something for everyone and every taste this weekend at Mont Orford. Other than your main interest, skiing and snowboarding, you can, for a second consecutive Saturday, test a helmet as part of the Demo Days initiated by the Quebec Ski Area Association and Giro, among others. Just between us, the event held last week led us to realize that a great number of Mont Orford enthusiasts already wear helmets. Congratulations!

Also on Saturday, the CKOI tour is stopping at Mont Orford with its wide range of activities and animation. Nordica will be offering a ski demo while the McTrio group will generate decibels at the Slalom Pub.

Sunday, it will be Sharks' turn to offer a demo. This Quebec boutique's employees are alpine and kite snowboarding specialists. The McTrio group will offer a repeat performance at the Slalom Pub.
ATM
Please note that the ATM located in the main lodge does not work with certain new debit and credit chip cards. You may however use these cards to pay for purchases at all our service points and even to obtain cash advances.
Praise for the ambassadors
Many of you have praised the work of our ambassadors. We thank you for your comments. Congratulations to our great ambassador, Lloyd Langlois, and all his team.
Snow production continues
As of January 13th, 95% of Mont Orford's skiable terrain was open. Snowmaking continues to ensure we offer the mountain in its entirety as soon as possible. The Magnum, on Mont Giroux, should be accessible to skiers during the weekend. Our teams also have their eye on the Super trail.
Mont Orford and skiing with climbing skins
The Mont Orford ski centre must, for insurance reasons, defer from its pilot project allowing access to the mountain, under certain conditions, to alpine touring skiers. Please note that access to the trails is forbidden for all - skiers, snowboarders, snowshoers, hikers, and sliders - between 4:00 p.m. and 8:00 a.m. This is a matter of safety since the trails are groomed during this time slot. During the ski centre's hours of operation, access is granted only to skiers and snowboarders who are descending the mountain. Thank you for your collaboration.
