Direct line to Mother Nature
Mont Orford ski centre's management has recently established a direct line with Mother Nature. We are requesting, on your behalf, that she distribute her generosity equitably this year. She assured us that she would take good care of us and the skiers on the eastern part of the continent shortly, especially after burying our friends out west under tons of snow these past few weeks. Whistler-Blackcomb recently received 204 centimetres of soft flakes in just seven days and Alberta's Sunshine Village ski enthusiasts slid downhill this week on a white carpet which was 93 centimetres thick with snow generously distributed over its 63 runs. We are ready at Mont Orford! Mother Nature is reassuring... it's only a matter of days before it's our turn!
An inukshuk at Mont Orford
To pay tribute to our Canadian athletes who will participate in the Vancouver Olympics, and to wish them good luck, we will erect a full-size inukshuk near our main entrance's landing stage. The goal is to encourage athletes in everyone's name: Mont Orford employees, customers, and management. Luc Chapdelaine, the ski school's director, will act as project manager for the assembly of the stone structure. The original idea comes from Pierre-Yvon Bégin, one of the ski school's instructors.
Ambassadors: Act II
There are still a few spots available to complete the Mont Orford ski centre's team of ambassadors. Our goal is to find skiers and snowboarders who love the mountain, know it well, are good communicators, and have a strong desire to introduce our ski centre to those who have not yet had the chance to get acquainted with it. Ambassadors will wear Mont Orford clothing with a large question mark on their back. They will be posted in various strategic locations. Several advantages await ambassadors. Interested parties may communicate with Louise Faucher, Marketing Director at lfaucher@orford.com.
Customer service, always ready
Customer service is the backbone of a business like ours. For this reason, we have set up a team of six people to fulfill the needs of our visitors. New this year, one of the team's members will answer telephone requests from our administrative offices on weekends and Mondays, allowing employees working at the customer service counter to be all ears for any requests made in person. Please do not hesitate to share any observations or suggestion you may have with them, retrospection is the only way to define and meet your expectations adequately.
Pre-season discounts: Last chance
There are only a few days left to take advantage of the pre-season discounts we have concocted on several season passes. You can save up to 10% off the regular price of a few packages. These discounts should not be taken for granted, especially given current economic circumstances. No profit is too small! The offer ends December 7th, hurry!
